Bali 2016 Packing List

I've been packing almost the same things for every trip with small differences. For this trip to Bali, I brought along three sets of watercolour so that I can review them properly.

Sailor fountain pen with Zoom nib
That's my main sketching pen. I usually use the Pelikan M200 instead but this time I wanted to use a different pen instead. It's a great nib with line variations depending on how you hold the pen.

Pelikan M200
I only used this pen for one sketch just to try how it's like to draw on Hotpress paper. There were some skipping unfortunately and I haven't had time to troubleshoot what's wrong with it.

I'll review the Van Gogh, White Nights and Gansai Tambi watercolour sets separately.

The sketchbook I brought is bound by Society of Physically Disabled. They sell their own watercolour journal but they also have a service where they can bind a sketchbook for you if you provide your own paper. I used Arches Hotpress paper for this sketchbook. This is the first time I'm using Arches and the quality is fantastic. I can understand why watercolour artist like this so much.

I guess the only important thing to point out from the sketch is if you are going to drive, make sure you have a phone with good battery life. My HTC M8 is already 2-3 years old and battery life drops 10% for every half an hour of use. That's like 5 hours of constant use.
